My name is Ivan Ruiz, founder of This is the way, born and raised in the Costa Brava and cycle tourism guide.

After 10 years of experience riding my loyal companion and more than 20,000 km of paths along nine countries, I decided to share my love to cycle tourism and the Costa Brava with all of you. 

I had the fortune of guiding many friends in their adventures and it made me realise how gratifying and inspiring it is to introduce someone else into this rural eco-tourism.
